Terms and conditions

Effective: 1 October 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Document Recovery Zimbabwe (DRZ). By submitting documents, instructing DRZ to proceed, or making payment, the client accepts these terms.

1. PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
   DRZ is a private professional document consultancy specialising in the retrieval, processing, verification, authentication, attestation, legalisation and delivery of Zimbabwean documents. DRZ is not a government department, embassy, consulate or statutory issuing authority. Final issuance, certification, authentication and approval remain the responsibility of the relevant competent authorities.
2. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY
   Clients must provide accurate, complete and genuine information and documentation. DRZ may decline or discontinue any instruction involving suspected fraud, misrepresentation, unlawful activity or insufficient documentation. Delays or additional costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete information remain the client’s responsibility.
3. FEES & PAYMENT
   Unless an approved credit arrangement applies, payment is required before processing commences. Quotations are based on requirements known at the time and may change where government, embassy, institutional, courier or other third-party requirements or charges change. Any material additional costs will be communicated to the client.
4. PROCESSING & THIRD-PARTY AUTHORITIES
   Processing times are estimates and not guarantees. DRZ will exercise reasonable professional care and endeavour to complete services within the indicated period; however, government departments, registries, embassies, consulates, institutions and other third parties operate independently of DRZ. DRZ cannot guarantee their processing times or decisions.
5. 100% SERVICE GUARANTEE & REFUNDS
   Where DRZ fails to provide the service paid for, the client will receive a 100% refund of the amount paid to DRZ for that unprovided service.
   A refund does not apply where DRZ has provided the agreed service but an application, document or authentication is subsequently refused, rejected or not accepted due to a decision of an independent authority, incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the client, or circumstances outside DRZ’s reasonable control.
6. CONTROLLED BUSINESS CREDIT FACILITY
   DRZ may approve selected established or regular clients for a controlled monthly business credit facility. Approved clients may submit a maximum of three (3) documents per calendar month for processing and courier dispatch without advance payment.
   A consolidated invoice will be issued and must be paid in full by the agreed end-of-month payment date. Work exceeding four documents requires advance payment unless otherwise authorised in writing. Overdue accounts may result in immediate suspension of the facility and further services being placed on a prepaid basis. DRZ reserves the right to reduce, suspend or withdraw credit privileges at its discretion.
7. COURIER & DELIVERY
   DRZ may arrange domestic or international delivery through recognised courier providers. Once documents have been handed to the courier, delivery is subject to the courier’s operational terms and conditions. DRZ will provide reasonable assistance with tracking but cannot guarantee delivery times or accept responsibility for events outside its reasonable control.
8. PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY
   Client information and documents will be handled confidentially and used only as reasonably necessary to provide the requested services. Information may be shared with relevant authorities, institutions, embassies, consulates, professional service providers and couriers where required to complete an instruction.
9. LIABILITY & ACCEPTANCE
   DRZ will exercise reasonable professional care but will not be responsible for delays, policy changes, system failures, strikes, decisions of competent authorities or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
   By instructing DRZ to proceed, the client confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
